A WOMAN who has been single for years blames her Malaysian ex-boyfriend.
The 28-year-old from Midrand, Joburg, said she was worried she would never have a husband and children because she believed the man had blocked her.
She said she dated her ex between the ages of 22 and 26 but he cheated on her a lot and even got two other women pregnant. She said he lived in Kajang, Malaysia.
The woman said they met when he came to Mzansi for work and they moved in together after a few months.
“I eventually decided to love myself enough to leave that relationship but he was obviously not happy about that. He dared me to leave and threatened to make my life a living hell. He said no man would ever want me,” she said.
The woman said they lived together in Malaysia and the last time she saw the man was when they broke up and she moved back home.
“I spent several months healing and then I noticed no men were asking me out or even greeting me,” she said. The woman said she started wearing make-up and going out more but men still had no interest in her.
“At one point, I asked men out but I would get rejected,” she said.
The woman, who is a manager at a retail store, said she stopped trying in April 2020.
“I tried to reach out to my ex and asked him to remove whatever he did to me but he told me I belong to him and I will soon go back to Malaysia,” she said.
A friend (33) said she warned the woman about the man.
“I told her she was spending too much time outside of SA,” she said.

The friend said a prophet she knew told her if the woman found a sangoma who was not from Mzansi, she would get assisted.
The SunTeam phoned the ex-boyfriend but he hung up.
