AS Mzansi commemorated the 11th anniversary of the Marikana Massacre on Wednesday, 16 August, another shooting happened.
One person was injured and taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Speaking at the commemoration, Advocate Dali Mpofu said they would not rest until those behind the Marikana massacre were prosecuted.
Mpofu said the victims and families want answers.
He said President Cyril Ramaphosa should take the stand and give answers.
"It is a shame that 11 years later, we still have not received any answers."
He further spoke on the progress made on the criminal cases against the mine workers accused of killings in Marikana in 2012, saying the case against AMCU members was withdrawn.

African National Congress (ANC) national spokeswoman Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri said in a statement: "To change the face of the mining industry and to guarantee miners' rights, the ANC-led government introduced progressive laws to regulate the mining industry and other sectors of the economy."
She said the ANC condemns using the Marikana tragedy as a political tool.
"The regrettable outcomes during the Marikana tragedy should never ever be allowed to find a foot in the current epoch."
North West police spokeswoman Colonel Adele Myburgh confirmed that a case of attempted murder had been opened for investigation.
Myburgh said a 29-year-old woman was shot in the thigh due to a random shooting.
She said the incident was reported on Wednesday, 16 August, just before noon.
"It's unknown at this stage who fired the shots, and no arrests have been made," she said.
