THE bail application of one of the five accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial was postponed to 13 October.
Bongani Ntanzi, accused number two, was identified by Meyiwa’s friend and state witness Tumelo Madlala as one of the intruders who allegedly shot him at the home of the mother of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus in October 2014.
Ntanzi (32) was supposed to appear in the North Gauteng High Court on Thursday, 22 September, but due to late submissions, the hearing was postponed. He is the only accused with no previous conviction.

His lawyer TT Thobane told Daily Sun his application had to be postponed because the state filed arguments late.
According to a statement by investigating officer Colonel Bongani Gininda, Ntanzi allegedly made confessions to the police and a magistrate.
Ntanzi, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Mthobisi Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Sifisokuhle Nkani Ntuli are facing charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravated circumstances as well as possession of firearms without a licence and of ammunition.
