IN a tragic incident that sent shockwaves through the Ga-Motle community in the North West, Johannes Kekana (41) allegedly lost his beloved girlfriend, Mildred Matjebele (39), to a river snake at a local dam.
The heartbroken man said he only heard his lover screaming and those were the last words he captured before losing her.
The unfortunate incident happened when the couple went to a nearby dam to fetch water to water their plants.
