A HORRIFIC rape of a deaf girl (8) cost her gogo her life.
The 73-year-old Gogo from Makwane Village in QwaQwa, Free State died immediately after learning of the horrific rape of her granddaughter, who was also
forced to smoke dagga before being raped.
Her relative, told Daily Sun that the gogo collapsed after learning of the rape.
“She was admitted to Mofumahadi Manapo Mopeli Hospital. Unfortunately she did not survive. We are so depressed. We hope justice will prevail. We will never rest until the court imposes a huge sentence against the perpetrator, who is a neighbour,” she said.

The suspect was arrested on 8 May after he was confronted by parents for allegedly raping two minors, aged 5 and 8.
The suspect (46) appeared in the Makwane Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 11 May facing two attempted murder charges and two of rape. The matter was postponed to Monday, 17 May for bail application.
The ward councillor promised to assist the family to bury the gogo with dignity.
