THE 2024 election results will shock everyone!
This is according to Africa United Congress national elections co-ordinator, Nkosinathi Shabalala.
He said their party was gunning to take over KZN and become the new provincial government.
"We will make a sizeable contribution to the legislature of Gauteng. We will be having serious numbers in the Free State, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga, and we will surprise many. Those who think they might be looking for coalition or so in those provinces, will be talking to us because we will be a deciding factor come after the election. People will witness that," said Shabalala.
He said the requirements of IEC for their party supporters' signatures was doable as KZN only needed 13 045 and Gauteng 13 980 to participate in the respective provinces' elections.
He said they only needed 61 000 supporters' signatures in total, which he said will be a walk in the park for them. "Those signatures are not only of supporters but of our ground forces, which we are calling organisation ambassadors.
"You can multiply them by a certain number that will surprise you. We also have a base of church congregants at the Nazareth Baptist church (Ebuhleni), known as Shembe church. We know that two million plus people will vote for us," said Shabalala.
He said their party leaders would consist of youth leaders. He said they didn't want tried and tested politicians, who would dent the image of their organisation with their past experiences.

"We don't want to bring the redundant stock of all these other parties in the formation of our new clean party, headed by Lizwi Mncwane - who is a former magistrate.
"People have been crying, asking why we have magogos and madalas in Parliament," said Shabalala.
"We won't recycle politicians through recruiting from other political parties that have a vast number of redundant stock. We will bring new individuals that will be seen leading our party," said Shabalala.
He said their party was not a rubbish bin, and they will have people born after 1994 as leaders and MECs. When the Daily Sun asked about the party's confidence ahead of the election, he said: "The confidence is based on the foot soldiers, the numbers they have and the groundwork they do daily. Come after the election, people will be shocked. Some will be amazed because we will have numbers, especially in KZN," said Shabalala.
