THE new member of Rise Mzansi, Khume Ramulifho, said he wants to bring organisational skills to the party.
He said he is not there for any leadership position but to build Rise Mzansi to succeed, as he is done with the Democratic Alliance (DA).
Ramulifho said he doesn't have any regrets and he's happy.
"I want to assist in building the party to be more competitive and succeed," he said.
He resigned from DA on Tuesday, 16 January.
"I'm not here for positions, and I resigned the day when I was supposed to be doing an interview to go to Parliament. I'm here to build a new constituency which is inclusive.
"Which will ensure we grow as a country and to start talking about solutions on problems which are facing South Africa," he said.
Ramulifho said he is bringing a rejuvenated determination to win, which he will offer to the party.

"I will be on the ground, working with activists to make sure we build that base so that when we go to elections. I'm not driven by any positions but here to work, making sure my contribution will be productive, appreciated, and seen.
"Many parties have no opportunity to discuss how we bring solutions to the number of problems confronting us. This is a home, and we need to invite many South Africans. Rise Mzansi is new. There is no baggage attached to the party," said Ramulifho.
Member of the party, Mpho Mashatola, said she wants the party to build her an RDP house.
