LOVE IN THE AGE OF LOBOLA APPS . . .

accreditation

Want to know how much lobola you should be paid? Or how much you should pay for that special lady in your life?

A developer has taken lobola into the Internet age with the creation of a lobola calculator app for smart phones.

It is, quite appropriately, named Lobola Calculator, and it's available here for phones running the Android operating system.

To start off with, the app asks you if you're male or female. You then enter your age, height, weight and waist size.

If you're a girl, it wants to know how attractive you are. You use a slider that ranges between "Not at all" and "Really Hot".

Next up you need to let it know what your highest educational qualification is, and if you have a job.

You also need to tell the app if you've been married before, and if you have any kids.

After this you're ready to get your results!

Your lobola value is given in both Rands and number of real life cows:

The results can be shared on Facebook, and there's even a function to see average lobola prices in different areas of Mzansi.

If you check out the app, let us know if you agree with the lobola price it gives you!
