A MYSTERIOUS fire claimed the life of a 21-year-old man and destroyed seven shacks in Richmond farm, north of Durban on Wednesday night, 25 October.

The fire broke out and Sipho Dladla (21), who was asleep in a two-roomed shack with his friends, burnt to death while his three friends managed to escape.

Among the friends who escaped, Samkelo Mthiyane (23), who owns the shack, suffered burn wounds on his leg, arm and ears.
