AN ANGRY Margaret Molamu told Daily Sunshe’s disappointed and disturbed that her in-laws would do such a bad thing to her.
The 46-year-old said on Sunday five of her in-laws destroyed her wall, the door and the burglar gate to their RDP house in Hammanskraal, Tshwane.
“It hurts to see the brick wall being destroyed, not by the wind or rain, but jealous family members and evil spirits,” she said.
“They should leave us in peace.”
She said they were fighting for the RDP house meant for her and her husband.
They occupied the house in 2018. The in-laws live in Soshanguve.
“These people treat us like rubbish. I want to see them arrested and punished. They’re not even ashamed that they’re trying to chase us from our RDP house,” Margaret said.
“They screamed at me and even wanted to beat me up in my own home.”
Her husband, Victor Mokoane (43), said the house belongs to him and his relatives are jealous.
“I’m not going anywhere. This is my house,” he said.
Victor said he was disappointed that his own family did this to him.
Efforts bythe SunTeamto reach the family were fruitless as the phone rang unanswered.
Gauteng police spokesman Captain Kay Makhubele said: “A case of malicious damage to property was opened and five suspects were arrested.”
