WHEN his nine-year-old daughter told him she had been raped at school, he felt like he was having a heart attack.
The 43-year-old from Eden Park, in Ekurhuleni, rushed the girl to hospital where his worst nightmare was confirmed.
The father said what broke his heart was that he noticed his daughter walking strangely when she returned from school on Monday, 24 October.
“I was sitting outside my shop when I saw her walking like she was in pain. When I asked her what happened, she said she had a rash on her thighs,” he said. “On Friday, I noticed again that she was walking like she was in pain and when I asked if she still had the rash, she said yes.”
The man said he was horrified when the girl’s sister woke him up that night, telling him she was peeing blood.
“The following morning, her mum spoke to her. She said she was raped at school by a boy.”
“She told us she was going to the toilet on Monday when the boys locked her into a stall and penetrated her.”
The father said when they took the girl to hospital, it was confirmed she was raped. He said the girl did not know the boy’s name and they went to the school on Monday, 31 October so she could identify him.
“My daughter was humiliated because she had to go to every classroom to look for the boy.”
