MADALA Johannes Masilela (67) and his wife Florah Mahlangu (59) will now live happily ever after with their two kids who are living with disabilities.
The elderly couple have received a new fully furnished house on Tuesday, 26 September.
They got the house from DA leader John Steenhuisen.
Madala Johannes from Gemsbokspruit near Kwaggafontein in Mpumalanga said the house came at a good time when the rainy season has just started.
He said their RDP house was dilapidated and was no longer fit for human occupation.
"My RDP house had an asbestos roofing. It was damaged by hailstorm 10 years ago. The municipality gave us a sail to cover the roof. Life became hell since then. They never came to fix it as they promised. When it rained, everything got soaked inside and it made our lives very difficult."

His wife gogo Florah Mahlangu said the house is a blessing. She said their struggle is finally over.
"We were very happy when our RDP house was built in 2000. Life was better until a storm damaged it and it was never fixed. Now I'm going to live better with my family. The house is big and beautiful. I have two kids living with disabilities who we live with here. Now the struggle is finally over. We are going to sleep peacefully," she said.
Steenhuisen said his party is an organisation that keeps its promise.
He said the family was going to live a better life.
"The house is a symbol that shows how much the DA cares for the people. The family will now live in peace without fearing anything. We have given them the dignity they deserve. The family needed to have a safe shelter they can call a proper home. Their previous house was a real shame. It shows what we can do if given a chance in 2024," he said.
