A FAMILY from Thulamahashe near Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga is looking for their son, Talent Theko (26), who mysteriously disappeared on 18 May.
The tourism student at Mlumati TVET College in KwaMhlushwa was last seen on 17 May while visiting a friend in Xanthia Village, Bushbuckridge.
His friend, Mfana Mola, said he went to his wife in the village and left Talent at his house.
But on his return, he found out he had left in the morning.
"I found the house windows and the doors well closed and locked. He was not there, but his belongings were left behind. I then alerted his family in Thulamahashe," said Mola.
Talent's mother, Zodwa Theko (50), confirmed that he received a call from Mola saying her son had disappeared with no trace.

"We rushed to his place and couldn't believe our eyes. Some of his trousers and his two cellphones were missing, and what shocked us is that we could see car tracks around the yard," she said.
Zodwa said they became suspicious when they couldn't reach him on the phone.
"I thought he may be busy and would return the calls afterwards. But it never happened until Mfana called us. So, we reported the matter to the police," she said.
Captain Magonseni Nkosi said a missing persons case has been opened.
"Police are appealing to anyone with information leading to his whereabouts to contact Warrant Officer Nicoln Sethwane on 079 3919 834 or CrimeStop on 0860 10111," he said.
