THE Mogwase Magistrates Court has postponed the murder case against Karabo Moche.
The 34-year-old appeared in court on Thursday, 7 September, for allegedly stabbing his lover Keabetswe Molefinyana (30) from Mabeskraal Village outside Rustenburg, North West, several times at the Mogwase Shopping Complex on Thursday, 16 February.
The case was postponed to Thursday, 14 September, as the court awaits the decision from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on whether to transfer the case to a regional court.
Magistrate Stephanie Botes noted the delay on this matter.
She, however, highlighted that the state is not responsible for the delays, saying that the accused had previously abandoned his right to apply for bail and later changed his decision, which also affected the case.

Botes assured the court that the decision from the DPP will be ready by next week.
The accused informed the court that his health has improved, and he is now feeling better.
The deceased's brother, Katlego Molefinyana, said the family will not be discouraged.
"We are disappointed in the way the case has been dragging."
Katlego said they are hoping that justice will be served, adding that they want to see the accused get a lengthy sentence.
"The outcome of the court will not replace our sister. However, we trust the law will not fail us," he said.
The accused remains in custody until the next court appearance. He was denied bail.
