MMAKAU tribal council urgently needs help.
The council in the North West is appealing for assistance to fence their new cemetery and prevent animals such as cattle from destroying graves.
They are also appealing for a paved road, parking, water and toilets at the cemetery in Legapane area.
According to the chairman of the council Alie Sibisi, they deeply need help on their gravesite.
He said that they have been appealing to the mines around their area and businesspeople, but only one person came forward with a front loader to clear the path.
Sibisi said that their gravesite is situated in a muddy area, and they want to fix it before the rainy season starts.
"It's very painful and sad that we are not getting help from the local businesses," he said.
Sibisi said they don't need money but help to fix the gravesite.

"We desperately need help before the rainy season starts because people will struggle to bury their loved ones."
Christina Sekhoto, chairwoman of Khuduthamaga in Mmakau, said that the gravesite is a significant concern to the residents.
"We are struggling. Our gravesite is not under the municipality. We are taking care of the gravesites ourselves," she said.
Sekhoto said they have been appealing for help from local businesses for almost a year, but nothing is happening.
"We are appealing to anyone to help us address the problem we are experiencing at the gravesite," she said.
The old Tshwara cemetery is full.
