FORMER president Jacob Zuma is uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party presidential candidate. And if he is removed, there will be no elections in Mzansi.

Youth League interim president Bonginkosi Khanyile made these remarks on Wednesday, 13 March in Marshalltown, Joburg.

This means Zuma's face will be on the ballot paper for the 29 May elections.

"Remove MK off the ballot paper. Remove Zuma from the ballot and there will be no elections in this country. We say this with confidence because we have the numbers on our side, and we are fearless. If these elections are to be free and fair, uMkhonto weSizwe and Zuma must be on the ballot paper. Otherwise, we are prepared to put our lives on the line," he said.

He said the ANC had disbanded its military wing, MK, and Zuma decided to dust it off and use it as a name for a political party.

Khanyile said they were ready for the court case brought by the ANC over the use of the name and logo.

The matter will be heard in a Bloemfontein court on 19 March.

"Now that you smell defeat, you take us to court because you know that Chief Justice Raymond Zondo is not only a spy, but a scammer, a fraud lawyer and wants to infiltrate and change the Constitution to remove us from the ballot."

He warned Youth League members not to question the parliamentary list the party has sent to the Electoral Commission.

He said some members have complained that there were no young people on the list.

Khanyile said the party was in the building phase and doesn't need infighting.

"Our enemies are starting to celebrate that we are an organisation that is at war with itself. Stay away from the parliamentary list if you are an MK youth. Allow them to put up anyone they think they can put up. Even if they only field a single youth member, that’s okay. The youth league revolution is beyond the parliamentary list," Khanyile said.

He said he would personally expel anyone who organises a protest against the list.

"I know young people work hard. I recognise your efforts. I know you're at the forefront of the MK campaign, but don't get tired because you're not on the list. I want young people to be represented in the spheres of power," Khanyile said.
