A 12-YEAR-OLD boy who was reported missing has been found and reunited with his parents.
He went missing after school on Wednesday, 13 March.
The boy was reported to have been seen after school, walking away with a man alleged to be from Chiawelo in Soweto.
The family of the grade 7 pupil embarked on a search on that very same day, leaving no stone unturned until the boy was found.
On Saturday, 16 March, the police rescued a boy after arresting his scholar transport driver.
Gauteng police spokeswoman Brigadier Brenda Muridili confirmed the arrest to Daily Sun.
She said the investigation led the police to the driver’s home in Protea Glen, where he was bust.
“The team then proceeded to a block of flats in Kliptown, which belongs to the driver’s mother, where the 12-year-old boy was found."
According to Muridili, the boy has been reunited with his parents.

She said he had no visible injuries but would be taken to the hospital for medical attention.
The uncle of the boy told Daily Sun on Friday, 15 March, that the family received a call from an anonymous caller who demanded a ransom for the safe return of the child.
“After his parents received the call, they alerted the cops.
“He's excited to be home. We're grateful to the community that went all out to help us search for the boy. We're grateful for even the prayers that were held,” he said.
The police then changed the charge to kidnapping and brought in a hostage negotiator as well as organised crime investigators to assist in the investigation.
“The team got a breakthrough following countless interviews that were conducted with witnesses leading to the rescue and safe return of the boy,” Muridili said.
The suspect appeared in the Protea Magistrates Court.
He was charged with kidnapping.
According to the family, a warrant of arrest for a third suspect, who was feeding the boy, has been issued.
