THE members of Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) flocked to Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Stadium for the party’s provincial manifesto’s launch.
They braved the freezing weather to come and listen to what their party had in store for them.
The premier Candidate Thami Ntuli has previously outlined that the decision to bring the manifesto to Ulundi was to get the blessings from the founder who was buried in the same place.
They believe that being close to him will give them direction and power to fight to win back the province.
The party launched their national manifesto in February of this year, and it outlined its ten key focuses.
The provincial leadership will outline their focus for the people of this province.

Party member Nomfundo Khumalo (24) from Richards Bay, north of KZN, said she is expecting the leaders to focus on how they will deal with the high rate of unemployment.
“We are tired of lacking job opportunities where as we vote. this time around we want to know what they will do for the youth of Mzansi,” she said.
Another member, Zethembe Ndwandwe (26) from Nongoma, north of KZN, said the issue of unemployment is the struggle faced by the youth today, and they will only vote for the person who has a solid plan to rescue them.
The traditional leaders the party leaders have started to flock in, the premier candidate is expected to deliver the manifesto.
• The Founder of IFP, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, was born in Mahlabathini, which is in Ulundi.
• Ulundi was the original capital of the Zulu kingdom of the province until 2004, when the African National Congress took over.
• The first legislature was in Ulundi, and the structure is still in good condition.
• The IFP wants the legislature to be moved back to Ulundi from Pietermaritzburg, where it is currently.
• IFP won the election in 1994, and they govern the province of KZN.
• They lost power in 2004 to the ANC.
