A BUSINESSMAN partner of a former Mpumalanga MEC has been arrested on charges of domestic violence.
The 47-year-old man handed himself over to the police in Parkview, Gauteng, on Tuesday, 31 October.
He was arrested and subsequently charged with intimidation under domestic violence after his partner allegedly opened a case.
According to Gauteng police spokesman Captain Mavela Masondo, the suspect was charged and taken to the Hillbrow Magistrates Court, where he was released on warning.

He is expected back in court on Friday, 17 November.
When Daily Sun contacted the former MEC for a comment, she said she didn't know what the publication was talking about.
