A GATVOL woman is in jail for pouring kak on the counter of a cop shop on Sunday, 2 October.

The woman from Lwandle in Strand, Western Cape who is a mashonisa, was angry after cops refused to accompany her to collect money she claimed was owed to her.

After cops told the woman they were not debt collectors, she left and came back a few minutes later with a small bucket with kak.

A vendor who sells chicken feet in front of the cop shop said it wasn’t known if the woman relieved herself in the bucket or not.

“She came with the kak in a small bucket and poured it on the counter,” said the vendor.

“She just walked out of the police station, but officers arrested her.”

She said that people who had come to be assisted had to leave because cops could not work as the whole cop shop was stinking. They had to wait for the cleaners to disinfect the place before allowing people in.

Lwandle resident Nyameko Xanase (47) said: “I feel for the woman because we all suffer with cops who fail to help us.”

A cop who spoke to Daily Sun said when the kak was poured, an officer was busy certifying some documents and some of the documents were splashed with kak.

“The owner of the documents also left the cop shop angry,” said the cop.

Police spokesman Colonel Andre Traut confirmed that a woman was arrested, and has appeared in court in connection with the incident.

“A 43-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of malicious damage to property when she threw faeces on the table in the Lwandle Community Service Centre. She is still in detention and due back in Khayelitsha court on 24 October,” said Traut.

Last year, Daily Sun published a story about Mongezi Gubuza (47) from Khayelitsha, Cape Town, who showered a cop van with kak after he accused them of taking his takkies and refusing to hand them back.
