THE late Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s family has turned down Malesela Teffo’s request to visit them.
Teffo, who is a former legal representative of Senzo's murder accused, called the family requesting to visit them and present them with Easter gifts and money.
The family turned down his request and told their legal representative, AfriForum, to deal with him.
AfriForum sent Teffo a letter, telling him he can’t meet Senzo's family or give them money.
In a letter signed by AfriForum's head of private prosecutions Gerrie Nel, they said their clients told them Teffo called them indicating he intends to visit their home in KZN.

"More concerning, our instructions are that you have disingenuously conveyed the expectation that following our visit to our clients, the prosecutor Adv Baloyi will also visit them," the letter said.
"You are invited to respond to us and explain the context of your intended engagement with our clients.
"Once that is done, we will advise our clients accordingly," the letter said.
Daily Sun contacted AfriForum's spokesman Barry Bateman on Tuesday 11 April, who confirmed they had sent a letter to Teffo.
"All is in the letter, and he has not given us the response and explained the context of his intended engagement with our client," he said.
Meyiwa family spokesman, Sifiso Meyiwa said that Teffo called them requesting to meet them at home and they refused.
Teffo said he decided to not continue with the visit because AfriForum intervened and stopped him.
"I was going to be in Durban from Wednesday and then on Thursday visit Senzo’s mother. As an African, I was going to bring presents for Easter," he said.
"I was going to give Senzo Meyiwa’s mother R50 000 for Senzo Meyiwa’s children but unfortunately, I was told not to came.
Meyiwa’s case will be back in court in May.
