A MUM wants justice for her 13-year-old son who was bitten by her neighbour’s pit bull.

And instead of apologising, she was allegedly given bad attitude and even told the dog should have bitten her son’s testicles.

The 40-year-old mum of five from Orlando West, Soweto, told Daily Sun the incident took place on 10 July, but she had not seen any progress in the case.

She said what scared her the most was that the pit bull was not taken away by the SPCA.

“The dog was taken somewhere else by the family. They keep telling my kids it will come back soon and they’ll be in terror.”

She said her son was still traumatised, and getting threats made things worse.

“He has scars all over his body that he has not fully recovered from. He never received any apology from this family when he was in hospital. They obviously let that dog bite my son on purpose because this behaviour doesn’t make sense to me.”

She said she never had any beef with the family and when she went over to talk about the incident, they were not interested.

“They chased me away. I’m not just concerned about my kids, but about others around the neighbourhood. These people are arrogant and have no respect for others. Our kids can’t live in fear because of them. That family needs to go,” she said.

Gauteng police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said a case was opened and under investigation.

Jerry Seloane of the SPCA said they were not aware of the incident, and would visit the family to take further steps.

The dog owner hung up when Daily Sun called for comment.
