LIMPOPO police have launched a manhunt for armed suspects who allegedly robbed Fidelity security officials.  

According to Lieutenant Colonel Matimba Maluleke, at about 8:39 am, it is alleged that on Friday, 4 August, a Fidelity Cash Solutions Security official was about to load money into the ATM at Masingita Mall in Malamulele when he was accosted by a group of about six men armed with firearms.  

“It is further alleged that the suspects pointed the official with firearms and robbed him of 2 canisters containing an undisclosed amount of money.  

“During the robbery, a firearm with ammunition belonging to the security company was also robbed,” he said.

Maluleke said reports indicate that the suspects fired several shots before they fled the scene with a white Nissan NP 300 single cab.   

“No one was reportedly injured during the shooting,” he added.  

The Hawks are appealing to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact Captain George Mutavhatsindi on 0713517275.
