THERE is no any foul play in the death of prominent businessman Arnold Tshisole Mudau (40), who is also a member of “notorious” group popularly known as Jerusalem in Vhembe who died in a fatal accident on Saturday morning at about 2am along the R524 road in Tshakhuma, Limpopo.
That’s according to his family clearing the air after there has been speculations on social media platforms about his death. The hearsay came after the Levubu police and the traffic cops bite the dust arriving at the accident scene and cleared it off.
At that time Mudau and his friend who was a passenger were already taken to NHC Thohoyandou Private Hospital and his military style camouflage SUV Jeep towed away.
Lawrence Mulaudzi, a family spokesman, told Daily Sun that when people arrived at the scene they offered help and rushed both Mudau and his friend to the hospital and the towing company towed the wreckage of his car to their storage.
“Whatever happened at the scene wasn’t done under the instruction of the family. I can also confirm that the accident is legit not a staged one. It’s unfortunate that Arnold was certified deceased when the doctor examined them and he was later taken to government mortuary at Tshilidzini hospital by pathologists.”
“We even took the police to the towing company storage where they saw the wreckage of the Jeep. There is nothing suspicious,” he said.
Limpopo transport spokesman Mike Maringa said the accident was reported to local police but when police arrived at the scene both the vehicle, Mudau and another passenger who is critically injured were no longer at the accident scene, therefore there’s nothing much to say about this deadly accident.
“We have no formal report about that accident because our traffic cops and the police found nothing to investigate at the scene. The whole incident wasn’t properly handled, the procedure is that after the injured people are taken to Hospital, people should wait for accident experts to do investigations at the scene so that they can compile a formal report,” he said.
Mudau has left behind his three girls and their mother Luvhuno.
He was the co-owner of the famous Jerusalem restaurant and a pub in Thohoyandou, also owned two liquor outlets in Tshakhuma and a beautiful coumaflouge roof house along the R524 including a fleet of coumaflouge high speed vehicles.
The road is now narrowing for the most feared Jerusalem as a second member of the group Arnold died.
Just 10 months ago, Naledzani Munyai was found killed and wrapped in a plastic with 28 bullets wounds on his body on a mountain at Tshidzivhe Village.
Only one member of the group Linda Netshitomboni left.
He told Daily Sun that it was quiet shocking, painful and he just have to accept it.
“I will always remember my fellows for their hard work. Our group Jerusalem isn’t a mafia gang involved in any crime. We are just working hard and owning successful businesses. People will always talk, we even went to local radio stations few years back to tell the truth in public about what we do for a living,” he said.
Mudau will be buried on Saturday, while his memorial service will be held on Friday.
