POLICE recovered skeletal human remains at Tembisa mall on Wednesday, 18 January.
Different role players from the SAPS attended a scene at Tembisa Plaza in Ekurhuleni, following the discovery by construction workers of what appears to be human remains.
The national SAPS spokesman, Brigadier Athlenda Mathe told Daily Sun that circumstances surrounding the discovery are being investigated and police will therefore at this stage not be drawn into speculating, pending the outcome of the investigation.
Sun readers will remember the story of 12 people who died in a gas explosion during looting that happened in 2021.
Six families were able to find the remains of their loved ones but not everyone has been lucky, others haven't found their loved ones yet.
