A WOMAN woke up on Friday, 18 November, to sweep her yard and was shocked to find a woman’s panties, tights and hat outside.

But little did the woman from Etwatwa, Ekurhuleni, know that worse was to come as she left her yard. She found the body of a woman covered in blood and lying face-up!

The police were called and the dead woman was identified as Lindiwe Nhlapo (52).

The woman who found the body said there was a passage next to her yard and a lot of crime happened there.

According to the police, Lindiwe was stabbed more than 10 times.

Her boyfriend Themba Mtshwene said Lindiwe left their home on Thursday 17 November, saying she was going to take care of something and would soon be back.

“I was only told on Friday morning that she was lying dead in the street,” he said.

Lindiwe’s friend Francina Ramphele said she was with her a few hours before her death.

“She came to see me. Because it was late I encouraged her to sleep over but she said she wanted some beer,” she said.

“People are now putting the blame on me, saying I was the last person to be seen with her. Why would I kill my friend?

“I’m so broken and I wish my friend could get justice.”

Sergeant Khensani Mathebula said one suspect was arrested and appeared in court on Monday 21 November. The case was postponed to 28 November.
