A fourth suspect in the Hillary Gardee murder case has been arrested and is expected to appear in court soon.
This was confirmed by police spokesman, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala. The 36-year-old man was arrested yesterday evening at Kwa Thema (Springs) in Gauteng.
Mohlala said: "He was found in possession of a firearm with its serial number filed off. He is linked to other three murder cases which also happened in Mpumalanga," he said

In May this year, the suspect shot and killed two sisters in KaNyamazane after an argument broke out. It is alleged that the suspect left and only return later armed.He allegedly shot his partner inside a car as she attempted to flee for her life in a blue BMW that was earlier driven by the suspect. The male suspect reportedly went inside the house and shot at the police Sergeant before he fled the scene. The other two females escaped without being harmed.
Gardee was reported missing in April, she was last seen at a shopping complex in Mbombela. The 28-year-old 's lifeless body was found dumped in a timber plantation outside Mbombela early May. Three men linked to her murder were arrested and charged with rape, murder, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition as well as defeating the ends of justice.
One of the three men, Sipho Mkhatshwa was denied bail last week by the Nelspruit Magistrate Court meanwhile accused two and three, Philemon Lukhele and Mduduzi Gama 's bail bid will continue in the same court on Tuesday (16 August).
