RESIDENTS of Zandspruit need help to find the family of a man who died suddenly in his house on 3 June.
The 44-year-old man, who was identified as Nicolas Majola, died in the morning and his body has since been taken to a private mortuary in Gauteng.
It's unclear what could have lead to his death, however, according to residents, Nicolas had been in and out of hospital for some time.
Resident Molata Letswalo (33) told Daily Sun Nicolas deserved to be buried and things should be done right.
“We don’t have a problem burying him, but we just want at least one person who can come forth and say they are part of the family so they can bury him,” said Molata.
He said everything seemed normal the morning Nicolas died, but this changed when people decided to check up on him only to find him dead in his house.
What shocked Molata was that when Nicolas was taken to the hospital, his file had people's names, who seemed to be relatives. But when they tried to contact them, they denied knowing Nicolas.

He said Nicola’s death was unexpected although he had been in and out of hospital for some time.
“I don’t know if maybe the family is scared because they do not have money, but what we are saying as a community is that we are willing to bury him if all else fails because we would have known that we tried, but we just need the family to come forward,” said Molata.
According to Molata, Nicolas lived alone and never spoke much about his family or having a wife and kids. Residents don't where he is from, but they are sure he was Zulu.
