AFTER three years since she went missing, police are now offering a R50 000 reward to anyone who might have information that will lead to locating Amahle Michel Thabethe.
The young girl from Tsakane, Ekurhuleni, went missing in 2019 and has not yet been found.
Amahle was eight years old when she was reported missing at Tsakane Police Ptation on 6 April 2019.
In a statement, police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Sello said: “It’s alleged that Amahle was playing on the street with other children when an unknown man approached them, asking for directions to a certain house. Amahle volunteered to show the man the house he was looking for and that was the last time she was seen.
“At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a blue-and-white T-shirt, black jeans with pockets printed with hearts.
“A task team has since been established to investigate. It has followed up on any information received.”
Numerous marches and pickets were held in a bid to raise awareness, and also assist the family to look for the missing girl.
Her mum, Nokulunga Nkosi, has previous been hospitalised due to stress of not knowing if she will ever see her daughter again.
