POLICE in Cape Town are pleading with the public for information that can help with an investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of three people.

According to Colonel Andrè Traut, the bodies of two men and a woman, in their late 20s, were discovered in a shack in an informal settlement in Delft on Thursday, 23 June.

“Preliminary investigation indicated that the victims were shot and killed,” Traut said in a statement.

He added that the motive for the murders was yet to be established, and arrests were yet to be made.

In a separate incident, cops in Eastern Cape are seeking the assistance to help identify the bodies of two women who were found in a forest in Ntabankulu on Wednesday, 22 June.

According to Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, it was alleged that at about 2pm, a community member stumbled upon the bodies while collecting wood in the forest behind the Department of Education offices.

“Cops were summoned to the scene, where they found that both victims had bruises on the upper body and no clothes. Preliminary investigations were conducted to track their relatives, with no success,” Nkohli said in a statement.

He added that cops were appealing to anyone who had a missing family member to come forward.
