THE cops in Giyani, Limpopo need help to find a missing 17-year-old girl.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Monatse Mamabolo said a search operation for Hlamalani Chauke, popularly known as Hlamie from Mapayeni Village has been launched following her disappearance last Saturday, 24 September. “She went missing while attending the unveiling of a tombstone celebration in the company of her mother in Vuhehli Village. This after her mum sent her to a nearby shop to buy some items,” said Mamabolo.

“Unfortunately, she never returned and has since disappeared and was allegedly last seen in the evening at Holobye Resort Complex with a man believed to be living in Siyandhani Village.”

Mamabolo said when her mum called, she said she was in Siyandhani Village but didn’t know the exact place and her phone was later on voicemail until she was reported missing.

“Anyone with information that can help to reunite the missing teenager with her family is urged to call investigating officer Warrant Officer Minyuku on 082 729 0326, or CrimeStop on 08600 10111 or their nearest police station or by using My SAPS app.

“Police investigations are continuing,” added Mamabolo.
