JUDGE Cassim Moosa has ordered the sex workers killer, Sifiso Mkhwanazi to be taken to the Sterkfontein Psychiatric Hospital for observation before delivering the appropriate sentence.
Mkhwanazi (21) was found guilty in the Joburg High Court, sitting in Palm Ridge on Wednesday, 13 March.
He has been found guilty on six counts of murder, six counts of rape, six counts of defeating ends of justice, one possession of ammunition, one illegal possession of a firearm, and one of theft and was acquitted on a charge of robbery with aggravating circumstances but convicted of the alternative charge of theft.
The case has been postponed to Wednesday, 8 May for an observation report.
The charges come follows the gruesome discovery of six female bodies at a panel-beating workshop belonging to Mkhwanazi's father, Mark in October 2022
Passing judgment, Judge Cassim Moosa said he had looked at the merits and demerits of the matter, coupled with the totality of evidence before him.
"I accordingly reject the version of the accused as being false beyond reasonable doubt.
"I do accept the evidence of the state witnesses, I further find that under the consideration of the totality of the evidence, the prosecution has discharged the honours to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the accused has committed the crimes as charged," said Judge Moosa.

Judge Moosa said he rejected Mkhwanazi's version as set out in Section 220, admissions, as beyond false and found that he [Mkhwanazi] had acted with premeditation and planning and had formed an intention to kill the deceased.
He said Mkhwanazi was accused of unlawfully having sexual intercourse with all the deceased.
"I further find the accused did unlawfully and intentionally defeat and obstruct the course of justice by concealing the bodies of the deceased and which acts defeated and/or obstructed the administration of justice," he said.
