"We believe that a partnership between these companies and our group of graduates and students would be mutually beneficial, helping to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications," he said.
Goitsemang said they request the companies to consider offering job opportunities to qualified candidates among their members.
He said they propose fostering collaborations to develop research projects, workshops and seminars. "These partnerships would facilitate knowledge exchange, driving innovation and competitiveness," he said.
Goitsemang said they were requesting the opportunity to engage in a dialogue to discuss these demands and further explore possibilities of collaboration.
Convener Thabiso Nyawo said: "We have tried to engage them, but they are arrogant. We are giving them five working days to respond to our memorandum."
At BMW, head of HR Walter Ntantiso received the memorandum. At Nissan, it was received by the head of HR Advocate Sibusiso Ngcobo, and the plant manager at Feltex Automotive, Sfiso Khumalo, received the memorandum.
