THE GOOD party says it is ready for the polls.
This after it announced that it has registered to contest in the upcoming general elections on the national ballot as well as all nine provincial ballots, come 29 May.
GOOD secretary-general, Brett Herron said the required R750 000 deposit has been paid to the Electoral Commission of South Africa to register the party for its second general election.
“GOOD is also on track to submit our candidate list before the Friday, 8 March deadline following an extensive candidate assessment process conducted over the past weeks.

“We're confident and excited about our list of candidates who are ready to step forward and serve the people of South Africa,” Herron said.
GOOD contested the previous general elections three months after it was established in February 2019.
Herron said despite a late start then, GOOD was one of two new parties to get enough support to win two seats in the National Assembly and enter the Western Cape Legislature.
“In the 2021 local government elections, we contested only 40 municipalities, which saw 51 GOOD councillors elected in four provinces. We've continued to show significant growth in members and supporters as is evident in the various by-election outcomes,” he said.
GOOD Leader, Patricia De Lille is expected to launch the party's election manifesto on Saturday, 16 March.
