Given the challenging weather conditions, Fihla issued a stern warning to motorists, urging them to exercise caution and patience while driving on slippery, rain-soaked roads, emphasizing the importance of their safety and the safety of others.
The South African Weather Services issued level 5 and level 2 severe thunderstorm alerts, affecting various regions across the country, including North West, south-eastern Mpumalanga, western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, southern Mpumalanga, and southwestern parts of Limpopo.
More rainfall is expected in these areas, so caution remains essential for all road users.
