THE Gauteng Department of Health said since October 2023, it has recorded 861 cases relating to food poisoning which have led to 11 deaths.

The department said some of these cases involve schoolchildren.

The latest victim is Refilwe Usman (6) who died on Tuesday, 6 February in her classroom after eating All-Star biscuits.
