TSHEGOFATSO Moremane, Margaret Koaile, Portia Mmola, and Gontse Tlhoele appeared in the Joburg High Court on Friday, 17 November, for their pre-sentencing argument.
The four women face charges of stealing money, a laptop, a cellphone, a blanket, and cutlery and are scheduled for sentencing on 30 November.
State prosecutor Advocate Sifiso Khumalo brought the victim impact statement taken from the family of the late Prince Lethukuthula Zulu.
But the lawyers for the accused didn’t want the court to accept the statement.
Judge Moleboheng Mdalana-Mayisela made a ruling stating that the court wouldn't accept the statement because it won’t make an impact on the judgment.

The victim impact statement was based on what the family suffered when they lost Prince Lethukuthula.
Judge Mdalana-Mayisela said: “The accused were acquitted on the murder case therefore the impact statement will be not relevant to the judgment as the accused will be sentenced for a theft case.”
In August 2023, the court acquitted the four accused of Zulu's murder and possession of drugs but found them guilty of theft from Zulu's Northwold, Joburg home.
Prince Lethukuthula (50) was found dead by security guards at his home at a residential complex in Northwold on 6 November 2020.
The court previously heard the accused, who are charged with his murder, were alleged to be part of a syndicate that allegedly drugged and robbed people. They allegedly stole a microwave, TV sets and cash at Zulu’s home.
The incident happened after Zulu and his friend, Nkosi Msimang met the accused at an entertainment establishment in Randburg, where they claimed to be celebrating Moremane's birthday.
