POLICE have launched a manhunt for four men who shot and killed four people and injured five in the early hours of Thursday morning, 12 May in Bethelsdorp, Gqeberha.

According to Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, it’s alleged that the nine people were sitting in the garage, together with others, when two cars stopped at the gate.

“Four unidentified male suspects covering their faces alighted from their vehicles and entered the gate.

“They are alleged to have separated the group of people who were gathered in the place and started shooting at the nine,” Kinana said.

He said four people, whose ages are unknown, died at the scene.

Five others, aged between 29 and 31, were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

“The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation. Four cases of murder and five of attempted murder have been registered. No arrests have been made,” said Kinana.

He appealed to anyone who may have information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the nearest police station or call CrimeStop on 08600 10111.
