FOUR foreign nationals between the ages of 24 and 43 were arrested for truck hijacking.
This after a trailer loading an electric transformer was found abandoned next to the Evaton cemetery, Vaal on Tuesday, 15 August.
The arrest came after Emfuleni Public Safety MMC Ndade Mokoena and his ward committee members were on patrol in their ward. They discovered the trailer with a big electricity transformer in Evaton and called the cops.
The suspects were traced and later found at a plot in Walkerville, south of Joburg.
Mokoena told Daily Sun that they saw a loaded trailer with a big electricity transformer on Tuesday night while patrolling.
Gauteng police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said that Evaton cops are investigating a case of possession of a hijacked truck following the arrests of four suspects on Tuesday night.

Nevhuhulwi said the police received information about an abandoned truck trailer standing on Hamilton Road next to Evaton Cemetery without a horse truck, and the trailer had an electric transformer on it.
She said later on the same night, they received and responded to the coordinates of a horse truck parked inside a yard at Walkerville Manor in De Deur, and the horse was recovered.
