ABOMYFRIEND now operate their business in fear.

This follows the closure of foreign-owned shops from Wednesday, 7 February in Tsakani, Ekurhuleni.

Some owners have gone as far as opening their shops only when customers come to buy.

They said they started operating on Friday, 9 February, but when they see a group of people approaching, they close the shop.

On Wednesday, 7 February, shops that belong to foreign nationals were vandalised  following the death of Grade 1 pupil Refilwe Usman on Tuesday, 6 February.

Refilwe died after allegedly eating biscuits bought by her father as part of her lunch box. The biscuits were bought from a local spaza shop not far from her home.
