FIVE suspects linked to burning and killing seven people in a mob attack in Diepsloot are expected to appear at the Randburg Magistrates Court on Thursday, 7 March.
Four were granted bail on their last appearance on 28 December.
The court released the four men on R1 000 bail each, and the fifth suspect in this matter is an undocumented Malawian national.
The court denied him bail citing that there is no guarantee that he will attend trial if he is released on bail.
The group has pleaded not guilty during court proceedings. The court previously heard that on the night of Friday, 1 December, residents in Diepsloot cornered people they believed were committing crimes and terrorising the community, and they assaulted them.
Others escaped, but the incident left seven dead after some were found burnt on Saturday, 2 December. This led to the five accused being arrested two days later.
The group faces charges of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, grievous bodily harm, and contravention of the immigration act.
Lawyer for accused three and four, Joseph Dikotla, said he was satisfied with the outcome.
"I think justice has been done, and I am satisfied with the outcome of the court processes," he said.

On accused five not being granted bail, he said the fact that he is in the country illegally counted against him. He maintained that the case against the accused was weak.
"After a number of consultations with my client, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time because the police just called him. His impression is that the police wanted him to give directions, but he was told come in, you killed people," he said.
He said his clients didn't know each other until they were arrested.
"It was just a witch hunt by the state as far as the prospect of success is concerned. If he can prepare his papers, he can always return to court to apply for bail on new facts. I think he stands a chance there.
The court ruled they must report to the police station every week and they should not interfere with the investigation, as part of the bail conditions.
