RESIDENTS of Mofolo in Soweto are watching over their shoulders.
The community told Daily Sun that they're living in fear due to the number of murders that take place in and outside Mofolo Park and surrounding areas.
This after the body of a naked woman was discovered in the area on Monday, 11 March.
The body was allegedly discovered by a man who was passing the veld on his way to work.
The body was found with jeans and a T-shirt allegedly placed besides it.
According to a witness, the female was found in possession of a blue bag, pink flip flops and a New Balance takkie.
“I think she is between the ages of 20-30, she had braids in her head,” the witness said.
Community members said they suspect that the woman was robbed before being killed.

Tito Chauke, a vendor who sells outside the South West Gauteng College, not far from the crime scene, said he fears for his life.
“When I arrived here in the morning, I saw people and police surrounding the scene. I didn’t know what had happened. I was told that a lady was found naked. I was informed that she was seen by a man who was passing and that’s when the police were called to the scene,” he said.
Tito said he only started selling there this year and what happened has scared him.
“I don’t know what happened to the girl. Some say her breast were cut off,” he said..
Police spokeswoman Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi told Daily Sun that an inquest docket was opened for further investigations subsequent to the discovery of a female body at Mofolo Park on 11 March.
“The circumstances of the death are unknown at this stage,” Nevhuhulwi said.
