A THUG hijacked the latest 520 BMW 2022 model while it was being offloaded in Vereeniging, Vaal, on Tuesday, 13 December.
One of the staff members said the suspect took the car in 16 seconds, and it was recovered in 10 minutes after security and the police chased the suspect and found it abandoned in Sebokeng.
It all happened in seconds; the suspects pointed the delivery truck driver with a gun and took the car keys while offloading the vehicle and drove off, but security was alerted. Together with the police, they chased the car and found it in 10 minutes abounded zone 14, added the member.

One eyewitness told Daily Sun that two men arrived in a car, walked around smoking and then disappeared – leaving its engine still on.
Police spokesman Captain Fikile Funda said the police were looking for a suspect after a BMW was stolen at the Vereeniging BMW dealership, and later found abandoned.
He said the complainant truck driver was at a BMW dealership delivering a new car, worth R800 000. As the BMW reached the pavement outside the dealership, a man pointed him with a firearm and ordered him to go out of the truck. The suspect then jumped into the BMW and drove off.
Funda added that a case of car theft was being investigated, and urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects to go to their nearest police station.
