ZAHARA denied receiving any payment for going to church.

Then a video emerged of Zahara at Prophet Alph Lukau’s Alleluia Ministries International in September, getting help for aching bones. This made people think she could have been paid to appear.

A report by the SABC’s Cutting Edge claimed Lukau gets poor people and foreigners to testify about miracles by paying them.

Zahara insisted to Daily Sun that she wasn’t paid and it wasn’t an act. “I can’t tell if the prophet can heal or not,” she said.

In the video, the prophet tells Zahara he will pray for her bones.

Zahara is seen clapping, as if she’s surprised. She also sings.

Zahara said all she knows is she was invited to the church and her seat was reserved in the front row.

“My parents’ pastors in East London met Lukau’s brother, who is also a pastor.”

She said when her parent’s pastors were introduced to Lukau’s brother, they told him of her problems with her bones.

“His brother arranged for me to go to Lukau’s church in Sandton so he could pray for me. When the prophet told me about my bone problem, I assumed his brother had explained why I went there.”

Alleluia Ministries International had not commented at the time of going to print.
