Trae Lxndxn, real name Ashant Mdlalana, is a rapper and Singer from Cape Town, South Africa.

To him, music was initially an escape from the reality of a new life in a new city after he moved to Johannesburg at the age of 5.

However, his real introduction to Hip-Hop came a year later in the form of a cassette he found while doing chores at his aunt’s house, it was titled “Life After Death” by the Notorious B.I.G.

“Biggie was DOPE! from selling work in the streets to penthouse chilling by the pool breaking bread with the same people you struggled with. This was real life &  I could relate” he says.

The 26 year-old’s current musical influences are Kid Cudi, Smino , Frank Ocean , PND, Mac Miller, Little Dragon & Kanye West to name but a few.

He is currently signed under the (ACOUSTICBERG) Artist Management label & creates what he calls “a fusion of raw raps over soulful synth melodies, hypnotic soundscapes and a pinch of mild psychedelic mellow elements.”

Trae Lxndxn is determined to make an impact in the music industry and there is no doubt in his mind that people will know his name.
