THUSO MBEDU LANDS A LEADING ROLE IN HOLLYWOOD SERIES | Daily Sun

Actress Thuso Mbedu shared on Instagram news that she will be one of the lead cast members in American Director Barry Jenkins' Amazon series "The Underground railroad" based on Colson Whitehead's book.

According Variety.com The project started more than two years ago.

Mbedu said, "My thumb and neurons are failing me right now so i'll just do as most South Africans do when this happens: I GOT THE JOB!!!"

This is an amazing milestone for the young actress as she will become the first South African actress to land a leading role in a television series in Hollywood.

Mbedu has received an International Emmy Award nomination for her role in "Is'thunzi".
