"The only real rapper left out here,” that’s how Duela Fernando Bila, better known as The Duela, describes himself.

The Mozambican born rapper grew up in different parts of Johannesburg but it is a town called Rietvallei, near Krugersdorp in the West Rand that he calls home.

The Duela started rapping at the age of 15 under the name Young Vice and by the time he turned 18, he had released his first mixtape titled The Prototype.

The project gained him a fair amount of recognition as a promising young MC on the rise and he has continued to make music that appeals to young Hip-Hop fans.

His second mixtape, Day N Night, held a few songs that received some airplay on a couple major radio stations around the country.

The Duela has worked with both local and international artists in the like of JSKXXVI (SA), Deeohh (Canada), and Dantrel (USA).

His silky smooth flows combined with his near impeccable delivery make him one to look out for.
