These days he is known for helping young men and women find their biological fathers and deal with the emotions that come with it.
But for the longest time, local TV presenter and actor Nimrod Nkosi was the face that many associated with the national lottery.
Nkosi used to present the live Lotto draw and although that might sound like the perfect job, like many others, it also had its drawbacks.
The Utatakho host has never made it a secret that being a Lotto presenter brought certain changes to the way people saw him.
"Going to the garage is not the easiest thing when you've started doing the lottery and people think you know the numbers or if they don't win it is your fault," he said in a recent interview on Trending SA.
Nkosi added that he even had an encounter with someone who tried to steal his hair in the hope that it would bring them luck with the lottery.
"I remember I was with my mom and this person just came and took a piece of my hair. It was quite strange but I understood the myths that have to do with luck and so on," he said.
After leaving the Lottery, Nkosi went on to land numerous acting and presenting gigs, making him a regular face in the industry.
