POLICE are investigating a murder case. 

This comes after a man died after he was dragged by a vehicle along the road. 

According to police spokesman Captain Neldah Sekgobela, the man was found dead in extension 2 in Ivory Park, Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, on Monday, 30 October. 

"The deceased was dragged for about 20 metres from where the incident happened to where he was found,” she said. 

"Nothing was found in the deceased's possession, and he was fully dressed in a blue T-shirt, black jacket, brown trousers, and red takkies." 

She said residents heard people fighting on the streets at night.

Sekgobela said when cops arrived at the scene, a man in his 40s was lying and facing upward with a deep injury on his upper body. 

She said the man was certified as dead by EMS officials. 

Sekgobela said a case of murder has been opened, and the deceased is unknown. 

"The motive of the killing is also unknown. 

"Anyone with information can phone Ivory Park police on 011 990 9600," she said.
