This comes after ActionSA brought a motion of no confidence against him.

Ngodwana was removed in the motion during a council meeting held in Germiston, Ekurhuleni on Thursday, 28 March.
Forty-seven council members voted in favour of the motion, while 32 voted against it.

The results mean that Ekurhuleni has no mayor from now.

Action SA said service delivery has been a major problem in the city under the leadership of the "puppet" mayor.
